32km Handicapped Running Event

The feature race!

Challenge yourself in the 32 km feature race at the King Island Imperial, starting in Naracoopa and finishing in Currie.

This undulating course takes you across the island’s stunning landscapes, with a unique handicapping system ensuring an exciting finish for all participants.

Experience the thrill of running through King Island’s pristine environment, supported by partial road closures and transport to the starting line with plentiful drink stations.

This race is a must for serious runners seeking a memorable and scenic competition.

Distance: 32 km

Handicapping and Starting: In order to determine a handicap entrants are required to submit details of previous performances. From this data the handicapper calculates each runner’s handicap.  The handicap then determines a runner’s starting time.  Ideally, at the finish the runners should be really close with everyone given an equal chance of crossing the finishing line first.
